The volcanoes of Auvergne have fascinated and inspired artists for hundreds of years.
Stonemasons, sculptors, engravers, and lava enamelers craft volcanic rock into works of art or useful and durable objects.
Over one or two weeks, come discover this local craft typical of the region : lava stone enameling. And combine it with french courses and practices.
At the end of the week, you'll leave with your creations and a unique skill.

Who are we ?
Soline Sterbecq
I like saying that before being a French teacher, I am first and foremost a ("gourmande") learner of foreign languages and cultures.
For the past few years, I've been teaching migrants, occasionaly volunteer FFL trainers and people from all over the world coming to “experience their French” in total immersion at my home in Volvic.
By living and learning foreign languages in their respective countries, I quickly realized how crucial it was to be confronted with the language in its context in order to acquire it in a lasting way.
That's why I created FinC
French In Context.
Coline Lespinasse
Self-taught in the visual arts in general, I perfected my skills in enameling on lava stone in Volvic.
In my creations I like to combine two materials that are complete opposites: paper and stone.
I used to be a former library trainer. That's why it's important for me to pass on my techniques in enamelled lava, advanced training courses and visual arts classes for ages 7 and up.
